“This is a very close minded community. When racism issues come up the School faculty does not have the time to deal with it. It is shrugged of as 'kids will be kids'. If you are thinking about moving to Depere and your children are not white, I strongly suggest that you think again. My children have been called the 'N' word and have continously been harrassed and hit and punched. Lamers Bus service is no better. They have made no effort to correct the issues on the bus, they have gone so far as to single out my children and even write them up for standing up on the bus. Yet the children that abuse my kids will not get written up. I am now moving and transfering my children to Appleton. There schools are great. Alot of diversity and racism is never an issue!”
